In the third season of the Beef Loving Texans’ award-winning branded content series, Kelsey Pribilski and Jess Pryles take on a new quest – going Beyond the Pit – to delve deeper into the world of Texas barbecue than ever before. Throughout the ‘BBQuest’ series they visit pitmasters and cattle ranchers to experience a day in the life of the people who make it all possible. My AD partner and I researched famous and up-and-coming BBQ restaurants in major Texas metroplexes to be featured, wrote the show outline, and scripted the episodic series.

BBQuest S3:E1 Legacy & Tradition

Episode one features BBQ joints famous for time-honored methods, and traditional plates, including the Texas Holy Trinity, along with a visit to a picturesque Texas ranch.

BBQuest S3:E2 Creativity & Innovation

Episode two takes viewers on a journey to the opposite side of the spectrum — new-school restaurants adding their own creative takes on tradition. The hosts also visit a feedyard innovating within the industry to ensure the animals are cared for and the product reflects quality Texans can depend on.

BBQuest S3:E3 Texas Trailblazers

Episode three tells the stories of some ambitious pitmasters and one inspiring rancher who wouldn’t let anything, even a global pandemic, stand between them and their dreams. Some started new businesses, some even got statewide recognition — but all of them rose to the top during turbulent times.

The season wraps with a feel-good finale as our hosts meet legendary pitmasters with family traditions they hope to pass down, and a sixth-generation Texas rancher who has always put his family and community first.

To celebrate the launch of season 3, a livestream watch party premiered with Chet Garner The Daytripper along with BBQuest hosts Jess Pryles and Kelsey Pribilski, which included giveaways, trivia, and of course… BBQuest Season 3.
